20 Year Anniversary Celebration, Community Tree Planting, Wellington
Join Conservation Volunteers New Zealand as we celebrate 20 years of community, nature, and joy. On Saturday 20 June, we’re bringing together our volunteers and supporters for a special community planting day at Queen Elizabeth Park in Wellington. Everyone is welcome; however, spaces are limited, so please register early. Join us as we mark two decades of restoring nature and creating connections across Aotearoa. What’s included: You’ll be helping to plant native trees and plants to support the restoration of Queen Elizabeth Park (QEP). QEP is located on the stunning Kāpiti Coast. The park boasts a variety of stunning landscapes, including wetlands, coastal dunes and native ngahere/forests. Join us as we continue to restore the park to provide habitat for an array of native fauna that call this area home. All tools and equipment will be provided. Please wear sturdy, comfortable footwear and bring a water bottle. We will finish our planting at 1pm and end with some celebratory kai/food for all our volunteers. Volunteers are welcome to meet our team onsite, or get a ride from Wellington City in our CVNZ van. We can transport upto 9 people, please contact our office at: [email protected] or call 021 057 1370 to reserve a seat in our van. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Bring your friends and whānau along and get ready to dig deep! This event is made possible thanks to generous funding from QBE.
