Planting at Chamberlain Park, Auckland
Our collaborative group, St Lukes Environmental Protection Society (STEPS), invites you to join our planting event at Chamberlain Park (the public golf course). It's one of their large planting days! Your efforts in planting native trees will help prevent flooding by stabilising the creek bank, provide habitat and food for native birds, insects, and eels (tuna), improve water quality by filtering runoff, and support local biodiversity for years to come. Every tree you plant makes a real, lasting difference. No experience needed – just bring your enthusiasm and sturdy shoes – and we'll provide the tools, gloves, and guidance. Come along and help us grow a greener future! 🌿
