Waikākāriki / Horseshoe Lake Working Bee, Christchur

Join us for a morning releasing and mulching plantings at Waikākāriki /Horseshoe Lake. Waikākāriki is part of the Ōtākaro Avon River Corridor, a 604 hectare space along the river that was home to thousands of people before the 2011 earthquakes. Today we'll be releasing or weeding around plants and putting down mulch. This is a key part of ensuring that plantings survive and thrive and we'd love to have you join us!  Bring along gardening gloves if you have them, a water bottle, sunhat and wear closed toe footwear.
