Supporting Friends of Paekawakawa, Wellington
Come and join us for a day of community conservation at Paekawakawa Reserve, a 1.5 ha reserve which has stunning views overlooking Island Bay. The local community group, Friends of Paekawakawa, have been doing an awesome job caring for and restoring this reserve through weeding and planting. On this day, we will be giving them a helping hand to control weeds which are suppressing native regeneration. CVNZ will provide all of the tools/equipment required including gloves and vests. We will also provide morning tea refreshments and snacks. Please bring: a packed lunch and a full water bottle. Please wear: long sleeved clothing to protect yourself from cuts and scratches, a hat, waterproof jacket and sturdy, covered footwear. Volunteers are welcome to meet our team onsite, or get a ride in our CVNZ van. *We can transport upto 9 people, please contact our office at: [email protected] or call 021 057 1370 (Mon - Fri) to check our availability as we have limited seats. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us via the details above.
